Poor performance against a team who are towards the bottom of the league. Pass completion seemed very low and we were out enthused for most of the game. Very lucky to get the win. However, Alex Gibson-Hammond was a bright spark when he came on and should have been a MoM option.

We created very little and relied on long straight balls in the channel for Seymour to chase. I feel for him, he is such a willing runner but deserves more thoughtful play for us to capitalise on his strengths. The one moment of quality in the first half was provided by Ahall and his through ball to Seymour but their keeper pulled off a great save. Hall can produce brilliance but hasn’t got the fitness to play NLS unfortunately, The winger on loan from Derby was a ray of sunshine in the second half, he was direct, full of energy and linked up well with Pitblado. Any word why Kurren Brown and Inman not even on the bench?
Inman, I believe was at a funeral for a close friend of his, unsure on CKB.

Well we got three points and well done to the team that kept going right to the end. It was not a great performance against a team in the relegation zone. The defence yet again held firm with Dreyer deputising for Inman with Fernandez- who looked to have a leg injury throughout the second half. What does give me concern is that we leave an opponent wide on our left giving the opposition an easy route to attack.
Midfield does give some concern, Mel made half time changes and that did help somewhat. It may well be an area that Mel will consider strengthening. Up front Bloomfield came on and justified his inclusion by scoring. Seymour struggles with poor quality passing from midfield but with Bloomfield he has a player more capable in holding the ball up and allowing him to feed off him.
Onwards to Chippenham and hopefully not such a nail biting game for us fans!

A very important win. If we make the play-offs - we will look back on last night as a huge moment. Well done to Mel and the squad.

Understandable reaction but the result stands, we have had games over the years when we have felt the same.
