I suspect that this information from a Slough supporter was not meant to become public at this time. From my experience, this type of negotiations are best kept out of the public domain until things are settled and a public announcement made to obtain increased interest and publicity.
As for the Trust getting news first I would think it very unlikely at this stage. Negotiations would be at an investor level.
