My first thought as well. Having suffered myself over the last few years with the same back problem, a herniated disc, I know that it can ‘go’ at any time and it takes a good while to recover albeit that Alan is a lot younger and fitter than me so recovery times could be a lot quicker. He did say in a recent interview that he had been told the likelihood of a recurrence was low so the current problem may be something entirely different. Time will tell. Bringing in Desbois is looking like a good bit of business otherwise we might have had to go into the loan market.

May still have to for a back up.

I also believe that Ollie Davies is a suitable back up at this moment in time, with us not fully knowing the severity of the injury and just speculating.
