Yeovil’s takeover has collapsed at the last minute after confirmed bidder pulled out. Staff and players were not paid last week though now resolved.

I listened to Dowse pre match comments and he said he felt that Dartford needed to get promoted this season as the 23/24 season would see the strongest Conference South for some years. He might well be correct?

Retained and released lists are starting to filter through from last season's National League clubs now... so far Maidstone, Oldham, Solihull, Torquay, Scunthorpe and Barnet have announced them. Be interesting to see if any of the players from Barnet (Jamar Loza, Rob Hal, James Callan, Kian Flanagan and Daniel Powell) are on Mel's radar given the obvious links.

Barzey has tweeted that he is leaving. Not a massive surprise given his struggles with injuries.

A case of us not getting to see the best of Brandon due to so many injuries. Good chance he will team up with Simon Haughney if he lands somewhere soon.

Mel in his interview after the last game suggested he was having talks with possible signings. Just wonder if we might hear something very soon and hopefully news of Fernandez?

Mel will obviously have the best insight on the players being released by Barnet. From a quick look they played hardly any games last season so not surprising that they are being released.

The standard of signings will give an indication as where Mel is aiming for and his budget level.

On Havant's retained list, Miller-Rodney and Roberts are both confirmed as under contract for next season.
