Just had a read through the rules and it says:
4 (o) All matches in the Senior Challenge Cup must be played on the normal first team ground of the Home club which fully conforms at least to the category of The National Ground Grading appropriate to Step 5 of The FA National League System. In exceptional circumstances the Home club may request that a match is played at an alternative venue. In such cases a decision regarding the suitability of the ground will be made by the Committee.

They have to host then. Simple.

Not according to the last paragraph.
The Middlesex FA Committee can still decide.

I would like to know what those are.
To be fair, it was a comment in jest. It hopefully only adds income to clubs hosting Brentford B
Birmingham FA make the pro clubs enter their equivalent these days.
I went to Stourbridge v Aston Villa earlier this season, it was a massive crowd. Villa had a new promising signing player, and even though the team was very young, even a couple of 16 year olds, it worked really well for both teams.

Just think for a moment if we host Brentford B and they have signed Christian Erickson, he might be needing some match fitness training! Just think what that would do to the gate!

At the moment Brentford b are playing a international competition in Portugal and playing Halmstads BK tomorrow Friday.
Brentford b play there home games at there Osterley training ground 1pm kick off. No floodlights. Which is no good when they play part time teams. So play away. The first team ground can not be opened due to high costs and game limits as they share with London Irish.
