Just back from the game. The Devonlive report is pretty accurate so I won’t repeat. Defence was our strong point today, midfield better in the second half than the first. Up front Wood and Babalola struggled to get in the game and wasted too much of the possession that did come their way. Both need to do better in the replay. When we scored the second I thought that was it but conceding so quickly thereafter gave Torquay momentum and probably deserved their equaliser. We could have scored a winner late on but for a great block from Whittingham’s shot.

Thought it was a good battling display today, not dissimilar to the Welling game. But in truth... we could have won that. Don't think they will be relishing the trip up here for the replay but, from our point of view, you don't often get a second chance to win games like these.
Can we win the replay? What changes if any will the respective managers make? Their left winger who came on in the second half caused us plenty of problems so we need to be alive to that threat. Block was left one on one for their equaliser. Up front I am not sure Wood and Babalola is working that well and would start with one of them and maybe strengthen midfield and help keep possession better than we did in the first half. Could we see either Inman or Fernandez to give a bit more aerial power? Torquay put plenty of crosses into the box and loaded it with players every opportunity. We defended it pretty well with the occasional scramble. Not sure there is too much between the two sides.
Match album from yesterday, with quite a few of the excellent crowd.

Yes, the lad who came on for them and played wide looked a class above anyone else on the pitch really and if he starts then we need to pay him very close attention. We'lI need a bit of luck on Tuesday but if we play with the same fortitude I think we could do it. Their manager gave us very little credit at all in his post match interview so let's give him something to really remember this time.
