23/24 We played 7, won 1, drew 2, lost 4 and were 22nd in the table before our first home game on 5 Sept 23.

Would be nice to avoid a repeat of that....

Not ideal although not much between our home and away form. Makes it hard for the club to generate fan momentum as we go into the new season.

Regarding fixture changes, it isn't just about the results. From the perspective of a diehard fan who goes religiously to every game (and there are a few dozen of us!), it potentially places a huge financial burden onto August. What if the fixture computer comes out with Weston (H), Truro (A), Torquay (H) in the first 6-7 games? That is easily £350 on trains to 3 matches in a month. I hugely resent the financial challenge created by the club's apparent incompetence. Fans will rightly expect the Beavers Trust to make representations to the club on this matter and see what can be done to help. (As a minor side note for myself and the programme team, a pile up of home fixtures also makes it challenging to keep producing original and interesting content!)

I will make no other remarks on the sad developments today re the pitch because life experience suggests it best not to say too much while in current mood!! :) zip it!

Perhaps season ticket announcements are delayed because we don't know where will be playing early season games.

It appears the Keith Hussey stand has been taken down, along with the Media gantry and all the pitch perimeter fencing. The fence behind the terracing at the far side of the Alan Simpson stand also looks to have been taken down.

That might just be for access to undertake the work. The Keith Hussey stand could do with major upgrade at some point.

The scaffolding for the Keith Hussey stand/end I believe was connected to the pitch side fencing which has come down. I assume the fencing had to come down so the pitch can be done.
