21st v 17th in the form guide. Both sides have only managed one win in their last six games. Our home form has been very poor with just one win in the last eight. No pre match management interview so far so not sure what sort of line up we might put out today. As ever, if we can score first we have a chance. Concede first and not so rosey.

Well that was a hundred times better than the last home game. More pace and width led to a number of chances with Grego-Cox and Silva looking dangerous throughout and each getting a goal apiece as Hampton shot into a two goal lead in 20 minutes. We were defending well until Massey made an error trying to dribble out of defence when easier to clear the ball. Baptiste’s cross come shot caught out Dewhurst for 2-1. Until then we were fully in control but the complexion of the game changed a little as Dover finished the half on top. The second half was more even but we still had good chances, hit the post and had a strong penalty shout denied. Dover were one dimensionally direct and didn’t create that many clear chances but the crowd became increasingly nervous as we retreated with the occasional break forward. Not sure why Dowse left it to the 90th minute to make our first sub as legs were going 20 minutes out. 10 minutes of added time but we held on. We are on 40 points with nine games left. Bath, Enfield and Farnborough all lost which helped. Tough game at in form Slough Tuesday.

Important win, with Bath City, Enfield Town, Farnborough and Eastbourne Borough all losing.

So much better. Not so many pointless 50/50 punts upfield. Instead, runners everywhere supporting the ball carrier. And when we lost the ball we constantly harried them.

We actually used our central midfield today to carry the ball, and consequently create width, and Sam, Kwaku and Max made the most of it. Just much better.

Ronan Silva was immense, never stopped running, looking for space. Reece at his busiest best too. Vaz great as usual. But everybody played well.

Much better today. Great effort all round but especially from Silva. And finally it looked like the midfield knew what it was doing. Really big win.

As pointed out in today’s programme, this was just our fifth home win of the season. Of our remaking nine games three are at home to Farnborough, Chippenham and Enfield.

Four hone games left, there's Horsham as well.

We have to look at winning all three of those other home games.
