Indeed, we looked well out of it once were were 2 down.

The injury to Rodari is a worry - only lasted 7 minutes. With Grego-Cox injured too, all the handy options up front we had earlier in the season are disappearing at the moment.

We rely on NPL a lot. When he’s not in the 11 we look a shadow of ourselves.

Agree re NPL, he's the one who can take players on and go past them though Jude Mason is solid and did well yesterday. We desperately need Atkinson in the side to provide bite and win tackles in the middle. Would have helped massively yesterday. Hopefully this frees up Gardener to get forward as he definitely has goals in him. Tuck and Deadfield are too similar. Obviously Tuck has loads of ability but needs to get on the ball. I really felt sorry for Sam yesterday trying to run through the lines, he hasn't got the legs. He will sit i. for Tuck when he goes back to QPR. How Ince fits in the midfield remains to be seen.

I would think Ince is increasingly irrelevant in all honesty. If ever there was a game where an experienced sub was needed it was yesterday, he can only have been on the bench to make up the numbers. How long are we going to persist with him? It's now mid October...

Alfie Tuck although tidy takes too many touches. We were 2 down in a cup game and we had no real urgency about us. I don't mind quality issues and being stopped by a better side, which we were.

I was having very similar thoughts watching Ince warming up in the second half wondering when he might come on to try and help get us back into the tie. But as time wore on it was increasingly clear that he wasn’t coming on. With Atkinson returning the risk around Ince is less. It’s a shame if Ince can’t get over whatever his injury issues are. It would be useful if the club could update fans on the position. Maybe we’ll see him at Rayners Lane on Tuesday?
