Good win for the Beavers. Well done to all for breaking that disappointing sequence.
Was a bit of a pity that the club's Twitter feed was running on a long delay in the 2nd half and got also confused initially on the scorer of our first goal. Hopefully was just some one off issues.
I heard Jules say that Rudy Allen played well in his post match. Does anyone know what time he came on and for who? It's not mentioned in either our or the Aveley Twitter feeds.
(Possibly this info will come up on Sofascore in due course - although currently they have our first scorer as Jack Taylor...)
Aveley Away
According to line-up in NLP, Allen was an unused sub!geedub wrote: Sat Mar 01, 2025 6:54 pm

Sofascore has him coming on in the 68th minute for Iaciofano.Les1949 wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 10:40 amAccording to line-up in NLP, Allen was an unused sub!geedub wrote: Sat Mar 01, 2025 6:54 pm I heard Jules say that Rudy Allen played well in his post match. Our twitter feed states............ 88th minute Julian felt a foul should have been awarded on Iaciofano whose shirt was pulled on the edge of the box.
Ha - that is curious however there were a few errors on our twitter feed yesterday. They announced our first goal as being scored by Iaciofano, put up his picture and then described the ball that was played through to him. But then when the mistake was pointed out they deleted those tweets and put up new tweets saying Archy scored - and then had to catch up on two more goals that had been scored since.Les1949 wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 11:51 am Curioser & Curioser.

My guess is that Joe Iaciofano looks quite like Archy Taylor from a distance...

So those complaining about the Twitter output could always volunteer to do it themselves, if they were at the game.
No criticism of the Twitter output intended. If it was taken that way, apologies.TW3 Beaver wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 12:53 pm So those complaining about the Twitter output could always volunteer to do it themselves, if they were at the game.
I was just trying to figure out the Rudy Allen substitution, where even more official sources seem to be at odds with each other.

I was at the game and I can confirm that Rudy Allen replaced Joe Iaciofano in the 68th minute. Full line-up and subs below. The tug in the area was on Alex Wall, just a mistake on that particular tweet. Also not mentioned online, Jules picked up a yellow card towards the end - can't recall whether it was for arguing about that tug on Wall or something else. The fourth official called the referee over.
Starting XI: 1 Max Merrick, 3 Henry Jeffcott, 4 Mike Atkinson, 6 Lachlan Byrd, 8 Josh Keeya, 9 James Roberts, 15 Joe Iaciofano, 19 Archy Taylor, 20 Mauro Vilhete, 24 Dominic Revan (Cpt), 28 Zanda Siziba
Subs: 5 Jonathon Page (on for Siziba, 89’), 7 Alex Wall (on for Vilhete, 80’), 11 Ibrahim Jalloh (on for Roberts, 52’), 23 Rudy Allen (on for Iaciofano, 68’), 31 Alfie Williams (on for Jeffcott, 80’)
