Thanks Tony for the report. Byrd in the same bracket as Wassamer is a compliment, hope he is more disciplined! It depends on Aldershot but he would be a player I would like around next season. Player of the year at Welling last season says a lot.
Looking at the current team there are quite a few I would like to retain, now is the time to offer 25/26 contracts as Slough seem to be doing as it does warn off poaching clubs .I do realise the costs but it would stem another mass exodus like last summer.
Weymouth home this evening
I think Byrd is an upgrade on Wassmer, fair enough Charlie would head a bag of concrete and heads a ball further than anyone but Byrd is much more mobile and is much better in the ball.
I agree with Tony re the crowd. It is disappointing but the weather has been awful. The club is unlucky they have a number of evening KOs around this time as opposed to earlier in the season when crowds would be better.

We have had afternoon matches postponed and crowds for the midweek rearranged fixtures are not so high, poor weather has not helped. Interesting to see the adorning crowd figures next week.
Using some figures from Football Web Pages, the comparison to last season is quite surprising to me:

I would guess that the gap between the upper and lower reaches of NLS is larger this year, but it does show just how well the Beavers have performed so far on the massively reduced budget.
Let's hope Jules and the boys can keep it going until the end of the season this year.
