It's a poor decision by the referee, who's decisions seemed strange for 90 minutes in the game. Agreeing with GRTourist, we are having no luck with officiating at this moment in time, but not unexpected ,the referees are getting worse and worse nowadays. However a goal was coming, and yet again we stopped using the ball well and let them come onto us which is something we have done 3 weeks running and this is going to cause us problems. Arsenal did the same thing today admittedly in different circumstances and they too concede late on. Another positive performance where I feel we bettered a strong Tonbridge side for large parts of the game. 3 home games in a row now so a chance to build momentum at fortress Beveree!

Their comments during and after the game said it all, they felt that a point was more than they deserved, agree the penalty decision was harsh from our perspective, but stone wall from theirs! That football decisions!
Onto the next three home games hopefully for more points? Agree we are playing well without the rub of the green.
As has been commented on this topic and on others there are some squad issues that need to be resolved to avoid this being a recurring theme all season. Perhaps a different thread for a wider discussion soon?

2 hands in the forwards back, could be seen as soft, but silly to do it, can see why given.

Football teams make their own luck. As has been said before these things tend to even themselves out over a season. Blaming the referee is just accepting that your team is not good enough. If you score more goals than the other side and concede less than them you are going to win matches despite any refereeing decisions.

How do you come up with these insights and who’s going to pass this on to the gaffer???

Thank goodness for Michael Owen’s analysis.
