Apparently Stefano Petruzzo has been appointed Director General of the Women's Section, Olympique de Marseille. It is on Twitter (en Francais, naturellement) I have seen an English translation but have no idea how to pass it on. OM Feminines @OMfeminines on X. A very long announcement but it starts...

Stefano Petruzzo appointed Director General of the Women's Section. Olympique de Marseille is pleased to announce the appointment of Stefano Petruzzo, an experienced Italian-Argentine manager, to the position of general manager of the womne's section........

A busy chap. The South of France is a very nice place to be at anytime of the year!

It's kind of comforting to know there's another club as gullible as us.
I wonder if it was his success at Hampton and Richmond on his CV that swung it for him or maybe it was his transformation of the fortunes of Liverpool FC or Albion FC of Montevideo

Having followed Les's links (I should get out more!), I discovered the following on the OM Feminine website:

"A 39 year-old director with international experience, Stefano Petruzzo's career has evolved in various sectors, notably in consulting, aviation, media and sport.
As Director of Strategy at Liverpool FC from 2013 to 2019, he contributed to the sporting and commercial evolution of the club and participated in the excellent results enjoyed by the Reds both on and off the pitch.
At the end of 2022, Stefano Petruzzo became co-owner of a National League team (6th tier in England) in London, Hampton & Richmond FC, which, in the space of 18 months, was transformed from top to bottom and, in addition, has been playing an important social role with young people.
The newly appointed OM director will shortly be taking up his duties and will be in charge of the oversight and management of the whole of the OM women's section with the objective of the global development of the structure and performance of all the women's teams."

Bonne chance, OM Feminine !

Doesn't mention his best skill of all. Self promotion.

I hadn't realised he participated in Liverpool's Champions League win in 2019. Presumably he contributed in the same way as the guy who sold hot dogs outside the ground?

Have to say, I've learned a lot on here about selling yourself in the modern job market.

Despite that the hot dog guy was still replaced by a pricey pizza vendor the next season ;)

I assume it will be a duel role and that he remains owner of Hampton and Richmond. He was at the game on Saturday.
