Nine teams in our league lost yesterday. Interesting to listen to the Spencer and White interviews!

Is there any chance that one midweek game after Christmas will be brought forward to the blank Saturday on the 28th?

Highlights are up on Stones TV. Pretty impressive production.

Just watched the highlights. To the extent that they are representative of the game it looked as if we had a couple of very decent chances not taken, particularly Roberts clean through in the second half but missing the target. Occasionally a bit casual in midfield allowing Maidstone to close us down and counter and some great last ditch defending as the game wore on. It was noticeable on their winner Revan didn't jump against Greenidge who was all over him at the back post to nod cross goal for the finishing touch. Maidstone fans commented that once we took off Babajide with 15 minutes to go the game shifted strongly in their favour. They felt he was our best player.

As was noted earlier in the season, the Maidstone media output really is first-class. The video production and the commentary team are both excellent - a standard for others to aspire to.

On a related note, I wasn't a fan of the switch away from Mixlr to X/Twitter Spaces for our Radio Beaver audio commentary on Saturday. X Spaces seems more set up for online discussions with multiple speakers rather than match commentary. I thought Mixlr was not a bad platform for audio commentary - simpler and allows for some interaction from listeners. If the club is looking for any feedback, I'd vote for a return to Mixlr. We seem to be a bit variable in our use of various social media platforms.

Maidstone's reward in the next round is a trip to Herne Bay.

That doesn't mean we would be going there of we had won on Saturday!

No. But at least we would have had a replay to look forward to if we could have just held out for a few more minutes!

I don’t remember saying we would.
