HRBFC 1 (Jeffreys) Crystal Palace U21s 2 Att; 239

HRBFC;-
Rodney Chiweshe; Harry Mills, George Wells, Stuart Lake, Marcus Rose, Billy Jeffreys, James Simmonds, Tommy Brewer, Joe Turner, Charlie Moone, Matt Reece.
Subs all used; Rob Carrick, Tom Hickey, Karle Carder, Chris Robinson, Anson Cousins, Dominic Ogun, Jordan Rocastle, Ben Cheklit, Bilal Aite-Quakrim, Alvin Pilgraam.

Crystal Palace U21s;-
Fitzsimmons; Gordon, Adjeye, Croll, George, Sekajja, Gabsi, Harriott, Udumaga, H’maidat, Tieku.
Sub used ; Egbo

Both teams had chances to open the scoring; Reece and Moone had chances for Hampton whist Palace’s youngster, Gabsi, twice went close. On 27 minutes Hampton took the lead as an unmarked Jeffreys headed in a Simmonds free kick. Croll went close to levelling the score just before half time. In the 55th minute H’maidat struck a free kick from the edge of the box that rattled around off the frame of the goal. Five minutes later Egbo beat two players to set up Tieku to side-foot the ball home. Despite being under pressure, Wells, managed to get forward and clip a shot that was deflected wide. Palace took the lead in the 65th minute thanks to a powerful shot from 35 yards. With seconds left the ever willing Rocastle had a gilt edged opportunity in a one on one with Fitzsimmons however the keeper kept his position and saved the shot to maintain the youngsters win.
