Good to see these updates. Sounds like there could be several more players announced next week.

Hopefully transfer fees for players on contract have been injected into the budget.

To date we have only been told of one transfer fee (Fernandez). There might be others being agreed. It would seem that the playing budget was reduced because of no fresh investments.and to inject some reality into our position given the strength and spending power of our opponents.
Given this, also we had some ongoing financial commitments to existing players that needed to be honoured. Once things are settled then there might be scope to bring some players with the right level of experience.
We await further news.

Really good update from Louis and Ben,
thanks for doing this.
Nice to have these kind of updates.
I don't see the negativity of signing players from lower levels, there are quality players in the levels below, who sometimes have other reasons for playing there, if Hampton are signing young, hungry players who want to prove themselves higher up, good on them, that's the type of player it's great to see coming in.

Well done to the club on the updates. Communication is excellent at the moment and long may it continue.

JT’s goodbye tweets implies the brothers are still involved with the club. https://x.com/jordanthomas/status/18012 ... JLl_yHWs2A

Just listened to his last message again. It looks like he alluded to two new players this week who would be well known to supporters. Roberts is one, so another to come? Also suggested other negotiations are near complete on others. As he said 14/15 agreed and we are at 12 then more good news soon?
Fingers crossed!

Could Gianni have been the other, Gary tried to bring him after his good season at Braintree but decided to join Havant

If you look at the reaction of supporters it was a different to that for Roberts. Many would not class that Gianni is not in the same category.

It’s not really about how fans would perceive it it’s more that his CV matches the description provided by Ben., exciting and NLS proven.. Which Gianni is.
