Does not say how long the loan is for. We have had loans from Sutton in the past with mixed results.
Interesting that Alan mentioned powered in the air. Comments on Revan and his height have already been aired on this forum, the general consensus is that he is best suited to right back where he played last season. We are certainly missing Fernandez, Inman and Dreyer in this area.
It has been obvious we need strengthening in central defence, interesting to see if Cheadle plays if not, I am beginning to wonder if his injury situation has recurred. Cannot comment on the big number 5 who played Tuesday, a name might throw some light on the likelihood of further matches?

Anyone go along to this today?Shepperton Supporter wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2024 6:23 pm There is a members only meeting with Jules and his coaching staff on 28/7. By then he may have put some more players into his squad?

Could not make it myself, any feedback from anyone? Saw players getting official photos taken, and of the food being served to them.Josh2002 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2024 8:48 pmAnyone go along to this today?Shepperton Supporter wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2024 6:23 pm There is a members only meeting with Jules and his coaching staff on 28/7. There wasn't a huge take up for the event but Jules and the coaches spoke well and highlighted their aims for the season. You can expect to see a team that works hard, plays at a high tempo and wants to engage with supporters. Got to know a bit more about Donavan and Luke as well. Jules talked about bringing the club together and making everyone feel part of the same thing. Last year there was certainly more of a distance between the management / players & supporters and Jules was very clear in wanting to bring everyone closer together.
It was a disappointing turn out but 1st weekend of the summer holidays probably made an impact, I would recommend that the club don't do 'Members' only events and really push things like this to all supporters to generate as much interest as possible, but if you don't try something you don't know if it will work or not so credit for that. Plus, as seen with the Euro's, there will be a definite increase in bar sales if promoted well.

I wonder if some were caught out by the fact that it was originally advertised as being 2.00 for a 2.15 start...BeaverWatcher wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 3:32 pm There wasn't a huge take up for the event but Jules and the coaches spoke well and highlighted their aims for the season. I read that Ollie Davis has signed on , looks like he will be the number two keeper.
Thinking about him, I may be wrong but the last left footed keeper that came through the ranks was a certain Joe Andrews!

I agree. When I saw it advertised, I thought the “membership” thing was a case of trying to use Premiership team income-generating techniques for a National League South team. Counter-productive.BeaverWatcher wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 3:32 pm I would recommend that the club don't do 'Members' only events and really push things like this to all supporters to generate as much interest as possible, but if you don't try something you don't know if it will work or not so credit for that. I’ve added the last two signings on to the list. Looks like we have a 21 man squad. As you can use all 5 subs this season I’d imagine that will likely mean the spare keeper will not make the bench. So Davies plus 4 will miss out on Saturday. I won’t be updating this anymore as the season starts Saturday however will be interesting how this compares to the squad at the end of the season.Adam wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 11:09 am As we seem to be getting information piecemeal by way of players announcing their departure on social media. I thought I’d try an collate a list and update it when we get some news.
Let me know if I’ve missed anything off.

Cheadle missed most of last season so his long term fitness must be in doubt. He might need a longer period to see if he can regain match fitness. In the meantime we do look somewhat light in central defence. Hunt likewise has missed several periods with long term injuries. With such a young inexperienced squad, longer injury absence by senior players presents an additional burden on the squad plus selection restrictions on management.
