Thanks for this summary it might prove a useful tool.
There are a few names on the list which I would be certain would not be with us next season Cheadle for example. So let’s wait and see.

Donaldson is missing from the unknowns. Shanne Dunne was thanked by Will King amongst others who had left but not sure if that means he has actually left himself.
Thanks. I knew I’d likely miss someone but how I could miss off Ru!EastTerracer wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 1:04 pm Donaldson is missing from the unknowns. Shanne Dunne was thanked by Will King amongst others who had left but not sure if that means he has actually left himself.
Alex Solomon should perhaps be on the list although I think only played a few mins and was out on loan for most of the season
(Edit - I see now Soloman has his own YouTube channel where he has posted his highlights reel for the 23/24 season - I don't suppose that is purely for Jools' benefit...)

It might be that some of these players were put on a two year contract so either there is a financial settlement with them, or they are sold like Fernandez, otherwise they remain. In doing the maths any financial settlement might prove to be more expensive then keeping them, especially if there are performance related payments that might not be met?
It might be that Alan is talking to the remanding players plus getting a coaching team organised. It would not surprise me if he recruited a player coach.

A few clubs are now publishing their retained lists. I see Bath city had six players on loan last season which now return to their home clubs and are releasing four others. Of their nine contracted players one is on the transfer list. I wonder if we will go down the loan route from the off next season as clearly the cash outlay is sometimes nothing providing you play the loanee.

I noticed that Dorking have signed Murphy from Yeovil, wonder if this is a prelude for Seymour going back to the west country?
Possibly the least surprising departure so far given how he was treated last season. We need to wait for what Alan Julian says on Monday about the squad but it would be encouraging if he could persuade some of his ex colleagues to stay. After all if we think he is the right man because of his contacts then his teammates from the last couple of seasons would be a good place to start. Or maybe it is just a question of money.
