Maybe it was his own decision.
This coupled with the statement in April does leave more questions than answers. Will be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of months. Could be a long old season next season.

My young assistant has done his research and supplied me with a list of potential candidates, not many of them that appealing:

David Noble ex Wealdstone, St Albans

Sam Cox ex Wealdstone interim manager, Tottenham youth coach

Danny Bloor ex welling, eastbourne

Bradley Quinton ex hemel, Braintree, Enfield

Luke Garrard ex boreham wood

Jon Underwood ex Slough, beaconsfield

Alan Dowson ex Walton, Kingstonian, Hampton Woking, Dartford and Hemel

Steve King ex Lewes, Dartford Gloucester and Havant

Scott Davies currently Slough (contracted)

I think I'd probably only be interested in about two of those, but I bet, as has already been said, our owners go for a more left field appointment.

The National League group on FB said he was "relieved of his duties" so maybe they think they know a bit more than us. We might never know the truth...

Investors walking away, Mel gone, doesn’t read well for the future to be honest.
Massive deficit in funding, spent way beyond their means, now paying the price.
No Manager would go anywhere near those two!

I would like to see/hear some “Gwinnett’s Minutes “ to get Mel’s own take on the situation.

To be honest I've long been wondering if we need a contingency plan, just in case we are ever left in the lurch...

I would think there is almost zero chance of that happening...

It was noticeable that in the final few programmes, where they were not from previously postponed games , that there were no Mel’s comments. Might be unconnected!
