Back from 2 weeks away and I see that the web site is still in exaggeration mode.

Hyperbole - way of speaking or writing that makes someone or something sound much bigger, better, smaller, worse, more unusual, etc., than they are:.

A record crowd descended on Beveree on Good Friday as Hampton & Richmond were held to a 0-0 draw Tonbridge Angels.2031 supporters arrived in TW12 to support Mel Gwinnett's side in their quest for the play-offs, with the Angels arriving comfortably mid-table with little to play for.

I offer a few bigger crowds from our recent history, and, so I am not accused of 'hyperbole' have split them into League, Cup, Play-Offs & Friendlies...

League; 3,225 v AFC Wimbledon, 18/04/2009
2,520 v AFC Wimbledon, 11/10/2005
2,376 v Enfield Town, 23/04/2016

F A Cup; 2,720 v Oldham Athletic, 12/11/2018
2,252 v Dagenham & Redbridge, 10/11/2007

Play-Offs; 3,127 v Braintree Town, 13/05/2018
3,111 v Hayes & Yeading, 07/05/2009

Friendly; 3,118 v West Ham United, 17/07/2008

I suppose the explanation given would be , well we weren't around then and this is the NEW New!

Perhaps they meant ‘record’ as in a record for this season?

I think they meant record for this season.

Well done on the club with their marketing activity around Easter and attempting to get families to the game. It worked very well on Friday.

Friday was definitely not inflated, busiest i’ve seen the ground in a very long time.

If anything it seemed much more than the crowd published. It felt closer to 3,000. The stands pitchside were full.

What a pity they saw such a poor match. Not a very good advert for the club or the team!

I reckon around a third of Friday’s crowd were probably under 10s drawn by the Easter festivities .

My initial thoughts on the crowd fro Friday was it looked about 1800ish. But could easily have been 2000 as plenty of small children were there.
The Worthing crowd was announced 1700 or something around there. A lot of the ground was packed, moving ends at half time was a bit of a challenge. Id be interested to see that ground with an extra 1300 as it felt pretty packed at 1700.
