THOSE WERE THE DAYS
6th February 2016
Isthmian (Ryman) League Premier Division
HRBFC 4 Leiston 3 Att; 342
Lowe 2, Diarra, Kabamba

George Legg; Tom Jelley, Josh Casey, Kieron Murphy, Moussa Diarra, Tom Beere, Jerome
Federico, Dean Sinclair (Joe Hicks, 58), Nicke Kabamba, Brendan Kiernan, Jamal Lowe.
Unused Subs; Adrian Blake, Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick, Charlie Moone, Michael Kamara.

Hampton returned to the top of the Premier Division with a win that that ended closer than it should have been. Using the advantage of a strong wind behind them, in the 16th minute, Kabamba crossed from near the corner flag wing for Diarra to head firmly past Ashlee Jones, 1-0. On the half hour Kiernan released Lowe who scored with a shot across Jones, 2-0. It was 3-0 just before the break when Lowe scored after picking up the ball midway in the Leiston half. Early in the second half Patrick Brothers reduced the deficit when his corner swirled in the wind and beat everyone including Legg. With ten mines left another delightful ball from Kiernan put Kabamba in position to clip the ball past Jones for a 4-1 lead. In added time Joe Jefford and Gareth Head both scored within two minutes to give a result that was always affected by the gusting wind.

And i remember George Legg in goal, think on loan from Reading? Unconvincing and Dowson soon shifted him on..
