Lowly Welling got a surprise win at Hemel Hempstead on Saturday but sacked their manager, Danny Bloor, Sunday morning.

A possible banana skin for us on Tuesday...

Sounds like they have someone lined up already.

Regards of what is going on there, this game plus the Truro game we need points, two successive defeats have put a concern in some folks minds. We need to be ready for a very difficult game against Macclesfield.

I would be surprised if Dowse went to Welling as it doesn’t appear a stable situation with the possible move away if development plans go ahead. He might be more interested in St Albans.

Rod Stringer, ex of Braintree, Chelmsford and Bishop's Stortford appointed the Welling manager today.

Apparently he has been in and around the club for the past couple of weeks so will know more about the players at his disposal than a completely fresh face.

So we play another team with a new manager! Makes planning more difficult as Mel will be unsure of their tactics.
Hopefully we get a win, but it won’t be easy.
