Basically saying they have sunk a fortune and don't want to lose anymore. A testimony to how difficult and expensive it is to compete in the National League. And bearing in mind they basically have a EFL ground and infrastructure unlike ourselves. It is unfair on our owners / investors that they will follow suit but they need to have deep pockets!!

Very deep pockets to get to the Champions League. This is why I wish their target was a sustainable local club rather than pie in the sky.

Might want to buy D&R and go straight to the NL!

I watched Bracknell town beat Dagenham 1.0 in the Fa cup. Dagenham were terrible.

Sad and worrying for the players, employees, volunteers, supporters and local community. Too many clubs like this.

And they have now been issued with a winding-up petition.

I think we all share some fear if at some stage the owners/investors realise they have hit a wall and their ambition is not realistic

Same for any owner. They all run out of money in the end, just a question of how long and whether they leave the house tidy or in a mess.

Nuneaton Borough resign from Southern League this season and considering liquidation. Sad for all involved.

This is why owners need holding to account on sustainability above all else.
