I guess we would always be looking at alternatives to developing our own ground which has obvious size limitations. I think we could just about manage NL football but that would require quite heavy investment but would be unlikely to support EFL standards. Sunbury is an interesting idea given London Irish have gone bust. They own the Hazlewood centre which is their administrative HQ and training ground. Given that the main side has failed it might be that they now need to sell Hazlewood or perhaps lease off the main pitch which I think does have one main stand of reasonable size. I suspect it would need more investment to meet NL standards but someone more familiar with the ground may be able to give a better view. However, the cost of doing this would probably be much greater than investing in Beveree for NL football. Only eight sides in the NL have an average attendance above 2,500 and our capacity is already over 3,000 so it might make more sense to see if we could survive at NL level before making any decision to move.

It must be obvious to most fans that Beveree is unsuitable If the team are going to make any more progress up the league. The ground is inadequate and the sooner the club moves to a better one the better!

I've been thinking this for a long time.

Even if you make the decision to upgrade Beveree for NL football it is still only 1 pitch so it would make sense to find a location that you could house the academy, first team training and provide space for grassroots football (youth, women, walking, disability etc). It would still be a practical option and if there was space to have a FL stadium which would need an initial capacity of 4000, with the ability to increase to 5000 then you could have a scaleable design which allows you to increase as you go along.

To be in the National League Beveree would need to have a capacity of 4000, 500 covered seats, 8 turnstiles, 12 press seats, dugouts that sit 11, 250lux floodlights. Looking at the documents in regards to toilet facilities there wouldn't be a great deal of work needed and changing room criteria are the same in the National League as in National League South.

Very interesting discussion, the land at Kempton Park might be the ground at the end of Oldfield road which would retain the Hampton and Richmond criteria , Sunbury is in Spelthorne and might need the club rebrand!?
Think we all agree that Beveree has its limitations.

Seriously doubt that the Trust will be privy to anything that the owners of the club are thinking about, in respect of leaving Beveree (even if true).
