Hampton beat Leyton for their sixth successive league win at Beveree. Both goals came just before half-time. In the 42nd minute, a cross-field pass from Quarm was met on the full by Ulasi, who headed the ball past visiting keeper, Charlie Hasler. Two minutes later Hodges was brought down by Hasler, Godfrey had no problem striking the penalty to send the Beavers in 2-0 up at the half time interval. Leyton had a miserable afternoon collecting six yellow cards, despite their superiority Hampton did not add to the score, although Ulasi and Bartley both went close.
