THOSE WERE THE DAYS
26th November 2011
F A Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round
HRBFC 4 Canvey Island 2 Att; 289
Tarpey 3, Collier

Craig Ross; Lewis Ferrell (Charlie Moone, 65), Tom Hickey, Dean Inman, Matt Ruby, Billy Jeffries, Nathan Collier, Josh Huggins, Joel Ledgister, Dave Tarpey, Paul Johnson.
Unused Subs; Luke Edgcombe, Dan Thompson, Aaron Morgan, Gustavo Sousa-Mota

Prior to kick-off a minute’s silence was held for Groundsman and former Physio, Bob Morford.
Collier made the first goal for the Beavers after just four minutes when he fed the ball through for Tarpey to score. Moments into the second half it was 2-0, Collier gave the ball to Tarpey who delivered a ball in from the right which enabled Collier to get on the scoresheet. Halfway through the second half Ledgister on a counter attack, outran the defence before picking out Tarpey for his second. Totally against the run of the game, Canvey scored twice in a 90 second spell when Hampton went to sleep. The game was finished off in injury time when Ledgister, unselfishly, set up Tarpey for his hat trick.
