Always enjoyed the trip down to the Dripping Pan. Lewes currently 9th in the Isthmian Prem so a tricky but winnable tie.

They have former Beavers Tommy Wood and Ryan Gondoh in their ranks.

There is a rail strike on the 30th so trains to Lewes will be a challenge.

Hopefully the club can stick on a supporters coach to help people get down and support the team.

Looking at their squad they have a lot of players with experience at our level and above. Vint, , Prichard and Whelpdale spring to mind.

Lewes FC were the first club in the world to pay their Women's team the same as the Men. Lewes Women play in the Championship. https://lewesfc.com/football-for-good/equality-fc/

I don't think HRB have a women's team - the HRB Women's team left to join another club.
And Richmond Park FC, at Tier 6 same as HRB Men, were playing at the Beveree last season - some of us used to go to support - are now playing at Tolworth https://www.richmondparkfc.com/teams/Wo ... es_Results

I'm glad it's Lewes, a great awayday, good ground, nice town. Might even make it a weekender. The game itself is a bit loseable though...

The full-time FA site lists RPFC's next two 'home' games at Beveree, and their following three at Tolworth Court Ground.

Looking at the Lewes website was a real eye-opener. They seem to be determined to show transparency in all club dealings and welcome supporters as "owners" with a say in the day-to-day running of the club. It's sad to think we could have been like that!

We were like that. Prior to the takeover the club offered shares to supporters on a couple of occasions. There was only a very modest take up.

The owner model that Lewes run is a bit different from just purchasing shares. There is a greater involvement with votes on certain club decisions plus discounts on both club and other retailers, streamed games, monthly newsletter etc.

Whilst there are still a board of directors and, no doubt, people putting money in the offering they have gives a greater engagement with their owners / shareholders than simply offering shares as an option.

I had asked several times in the last few years about buying shares, and never got any sort of response!

Also, if it was available, advertise it better, and if the Supporters Trust promoted such things, or anything at all, the club could well have been properly owned by the supporters.
But no, had secret meetings with one party who wanted to take over, and didn't bother looking or asking around for alternatives.
