The floodlights a metaphor for the season so far…

Well, supporters have been kept in the dark over the close season! 😉

Much less by the time the win was secured.

The long ball game obviously doesn't work unless you have a tall commanding forward who can battle it out against committed defenders. We are going to struggle this season unless we start to use our passing game.

Meanwhile, seems like radio silence from HRBFC today. Given the big announcement on core infrastructure improvements the owners were left looking a bit silly yesterday. Hopefully they got some feedback, but would have thought they would have wanted to put something on the record today by way of an apology. Any new fans turning up would probably not have been impressed.

You would think there would be some comms about the failure even if they are not sure of the cause. At least we have a few weeks to get it sorted as no Tuesday fixtures until well into October barring an FACup replay.

Where was this outrageous when our game Vs Braintree got postponed due to Floodlight failure?

There was no outrage because we were given a prompt explanation and apology.

Presumably that outage was one of the reasons behind the application to install new floodlights. That obviously didn't get done as planned in the close season but we were told some core electrical work did. I wonder what testing was done of that with the existing floodlights or is it just a coincidence they failed three times last night (once a few mins after the final whistle but could easily have been more extra time).

I understand the lights were tested last Saturday but have no more detail as to how long. They were tripping out every 20 minutes or so which suggests something was overheating possibly.
