Good spot. Maybe they are going to unleash the big one next week.HamptonLifer5 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 10:11 pm First outing for the red kit with names on the back, previously it was just numbers.

Hi Tony,
It can be done, but takes a lot of work and leaves a mess, better to just have a new shirt for a new player.
In this instance if a player leaves you can reissue the "squad number" to a new player, or give them a different player.
What I think works best, is you do a new shirt for a new player, any old shirts of players leaving could be sold in the shop as "match worn", or how about if someone sponsored the player, including it in their sponsorship package and presenting the sponsor with the shirt at the end of the season.
Squad numbers/names is not a requirement at step 2, although it does make sense to do, as players can then have a better fitting shirt.
Not like the old days when all the shirts 1-11 were probably large or even XL, and when a small player wears it looks ridiculous.
It is weird the red kit was worn without names until the weekend, but the other kits had names. Maybe a supply issue, or lack of printing ordered in.

Eastbourne (a) - blue shirt, blue shorts, white socks
Chelmsford (a) - white shirt, blue shorts, white socks
Dartford (a) - blue shirt, white shorts, blue socks
Truro (a) - blue shirt, blue shorts, blue socks
Bath (a) - blue shirt, white shorts, red socks
Aveley (a) - red shirt, red shorts, white socks
Farnborough (a) - red shirt, red shorts, red socks
Weymouth (h) - blue shirt, blue short, blue socks
Weston-super-Mare (a) - red shirt, red shorts, red socks
Southall (a) FAC - blue shirt, blue shorts, blue socks
Yeovil (h) - blue shirt, blue shorts, blue socks
Lewes (a) FAC - white shirt, white shorts, white socks
Havant (a) - red shirt, red shorts, red socks
Dartford (h) - blue shirt, blue shorts, blue socks (1st half) , white shirt, white shorts, white socks (2nd half)
Having taken a 2-0 lead into the half time break using the kit that has brought 3 of our 4 previous wins this season, we changed into the kit in which we also conceded 3 goals vs. Lewes.
I'm not sure which outfit to credit with the win !!

I assume the. change of kit was requested by the referee who thought it too similar to his kit.
Why not try a combination of the kits, red shirt, blue shorts and white socks, permutations are endless and will keep our new kit man on his toes!

We should bin the blue strip now. It's always going to clash with the Referee and it's just not a Hampton kit.

Agreed, but all the monochrome combinations should be binned. These derivative habiliments have been used exclusively in September and October.Lord Elpus wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 8:27 pm We should bin the blue strip now. It's always going to clash with the Referee and it's just not a Hampton kit.
It sounds like the all blue clashed with Dartford and the referee! It’s too dark!EastTerracer wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 12:12 amAgreed, but all the monochrome combinations should be binned.
