Uxbridge scored in the first half from a penalty and a then, in the second, when a free kick went through a gap in the defensive wall. Apart from picking the ball out of the net, Cooling had little to do in the second half, but the only reply for Hampton came five minutes from the end when Butler scored with a long-range effort. The team featured some players who were making a return to the club; Butler, Jackson and Cole. The unused sub was Lusty, a goalkeeper.
John Lusty made limited appearances between 1978/79 & 1984/85, covering for the likes of Cooling, Steve Chapman and Ian Mason, amongst others.
