Onto the second game, might get further indication as to Mel’s plans and choices. The keeper situation will need clarification, Alan has said it’s his last season, so perhaps a more coaching role? Adam has not come to sit on the bench so a conundrum for Mel with two good keepers to choose from.

Just arrived at Ember court. For the police game. The beer is cheap here. Ground looks perfect. Looking forward to the game.

Again two separate teams in each half. In the second half we see the Bloomfield/Seymour combination for the first time with support from Hall.
Await comments and reports.

No score at half time, from what was I understand a poor half. Donaldson went closest.

We didn't seem to play any recognised forwards in the first half, but no, ee didn't make that many chances.
Bloomfield and Seymour both on for the second half...

Again hard to say from the mix of players what we would be like with the first choice line up. Dominated possession but final ball frequently saw moves break down and actual shots on goal took a fair time to come. Second half side seemed more direct attack-wise and the triangle of Hall, Seymour and Bloomfield were more potent. Pitlabo did well to arrive late to head home from a deep cross but Debois made a mess of a high ball dropping into his net to give Met Police an unlikely draw. Drakes-Thomas did well in the first half down the left, as did Pitlabo in the second. From what we’ve seen so far it looks as if the defence and attack picks itself and then it’s which five in midfield. You have to expect Gray is nailed on for one spot, Hall for another leaving three to complete the line up - Thomas, Wishart and ? Over a season with injuries and suspensions this could easily change but that’s my best guess on the limited viewing so far.
