Non HRBFC but might of interest to some.
This week Grays Athletic appear to have secured Thurrock’s old Ship Lane ground as a new home. Assume they might not be there till next season.
And in the NLS Truro have tweeted this morning saying work has started on a new ground to the west of Truro. Hoping to be in the new ground next season.
Around the grounds…

Ship Lane sitting there rotting for a couple of years has been a real waste of a decent, if slightly characterless ground. Good for Grays though, they must be ecstatic. Truro? Hopefully they won't stay up anyway as it's a bit of a trek to say the least.Adam wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 10:38 am Non HRBFC but might of interest to some.

Is that the site that they have been trying to build on for years (Stadium for Cornwall) and is for Cornish Pirates, Rugby Union?
I don't think they're calling it that anymore, but that's what it is. Initially for Truro City and the wider community, then Pirates (who own Truro City FC) due to join later.TW3 Beaver wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 4:40 pmIs that the site that they have been trying to build on for years (Stadium for Cornwall) and is for Cornish Pirates, Rugby Union?
It's a really unpopular plan in Cornwall because of the Council's involvement. A lot of commentary around how a county with one hospital between 580,000 people could probably use Council investment elsewhere.

Well I'm not surprised it's unpopular then, sounds like a ridiculous decision in that context.GRTourist wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 5:25 pmI don't think they're calling it that anymore, but that's what it is.
