New pylons and lights in same places as existing.
From what I understand to have just the four pylons would have brought more objections and therefore delays. There might also have been a cost issue. We are also changing the pitch so there is not an infinite money available.

They have got to change the lights so they can have them on every night of the week. The locals that live around the ground will go crazy when its every night.

The lights needed to be changed because they are over 50 years old and energy inefficient/ very expensive to run. Nothing to do with the 3G pitch. The plan to change was decided regardless of whether a 3G pitch was installed. The lights will in fact caste less external light that will affect our near neighbours.

I listened to the post match comments from the Taunton manager, one interesting comment was he could see our club going places in the next couple of years. This sort of comment shows how the football community knows a lot about what is happening at each club in our division.

Hopefully no delays as we could end up with a string of away games at the beginning of the season.
It's a little puzzling why the community game is not being played until 7 May, thereby reducing the time available for pitch and floodlight installation by a week.

Hopefully we have scheduled start dates and this game has been factored in. Might see some interesting spectators during the summer to see how the jobs are progressing?

New floodlights, makes absolute sense. Can understand keeping them in the same positions for ease. Although do think it could restrict further development later, as they restrict lots of the view when watching down the sides.

The old pylons are iconic, I have the scrap man isn't just getting them to be weighed in, would be great if the club kept them, and incorporated them into something, in new building work, or a section kept somewhere with a plaque to maintain a piece of history, really hope someone sees the value in this, even if keep them somewhere for a while until working out how they could be used.
