About to be 4 wins in our last 6 games, 12 points from a possible 18! Brilliant work from Mel since he has come in, not only improving the style of football but more important picking up points.

Brilliant win and performance, made it nervy at the end, but we were fully deserving of the three points. Another missed penalty though, which is just ridiculous at this point.

Was unable to go today. Glad we won, but what is it with penalty kicks, think it is more of a mental problem.
Await more reports.

Well that was a hard watch! Chelmsford are a big powerful side who were always going to give us problems. However, their #5 very generously got himself two yellows inside the first 20 minutes for fouls on Clifton and upped the odds on us getting some valuable points. Very few chances for either side in the first 45 but Whittingham put us in front after 37mins with a close range finish. A good time to score in a tight game. Second half was a totally different story. Chelmsford came out with real purpose and despite our man advantage we couldn’t get out of our own half for nearly 25 minutes. They were simply too strong for us and we didn’t help ourselves with some careless and sloppy play as the high press told. The introduction of Kurran- Browne saw us improve going forward and his run into the area won us another penalty. Did anyone is the ground think we would score when Gray this time the unfortunate fall guy stepped up to take? Gray certainly didn’t look like he thought he would and gave the keeper an easy save to his right. Eleven out of 13 missed this season. Mel’s penalty plan looking in need of a bit more work.

Having had the chance to kill off the game we almost immediately conceded a penalty at the other end but this time Julian made a great double save to spare Gray’s blushes. A massive let off for us. Late on, the one decent passage of play by us resulted in a nicely worked move down the right finished off by newboy Jordan Thomas. Surely that was game over? But no, Chelmsford kept pushing and we conceded a messy goal in the 93rd minute to keep the nerves jangling. Thankfully we managed to see it through for another vital three points with other team around us also picking up wins. Today the luck was in our favour but had Chelmsford not been down to 10 I really couldn’t see us getting anything from the game.

Listening to Mel he said second half we were under the cosh against a very good and powerful team. Still three points is very gratefully accepted.

A great win yesterday, couple months ago bottom of the form guide just dipped into relegation place, unattractive, uninspiring Kick and Hoof football, moaning because a number of supporters accepting that we are a village club and it’s okay to fall out of the league and we must keep Gary until at least to the end of the season, “In Gary we trust” 😱😱

Supporters were disjointed and unhappy even moaning when Mel was appointed as a manager, (to old, no experience etc) yes he had a tough start and it’s hard to fix problems at this stage of the season, but look now we have had some really really hard games and came through them, 3rd in the Form table, better spirit and atmosphere around, without him do you think we will be hovering outside the relegation places or inside, where would we be if Gary still here now and yet certain members thinks 40points is safety, still think that now?

So well done Hampton and Mel a fresh start, still along way to go to avoid the trap door but in trust and spirit believe we will survive and next season will be completely different

We are much improved but still only two points above the relegation positions with most teams below having games in hand. So no room for complacency.

Yes much better results of late but we are not out of trouble yet, there are other teams around us picking up points. Tuesday will see a six point game and one that we need, at least, to avoid defeat.
