The club have withdrawn from the competition, according to yesterday's programme notes by Dick Parsons

This is absolutely disgusting.
It's massively embarrassing and ruins the competition that should have respect.
If you don't want to play all the first team players, then use academy players, but fulfil the fixture.

Only a Sith deals in absolutes, and you’ve done that twice in the last half hour!

Well it's been seen as the poor relation for quite a long time now and I guess we should probably put out a side made up of kids and fringers but quite frankly I'd rather we focused on avoiding relegation.

It’s about priorities. We have a lot of important league games to fit in.

Not sure the pitch would cope with many more games being played on it either

Why are you trying to be all smart using a Star Wars quote.

Simple fact is at any level, you should fulfil your fixtures. Especially being a larger club in the Middlesex Charity Cup, is is embarrassing and massively disrespectful to drop out.

The FA should say, okay then, we will remove you from the FA cup next season to ease the burden... bet clubs would show a bit more respect when they aren't getting the FA cup money.

This isn't me having a pop at HRBFC, any club doing this, it's completely out of order.
and in Hampton's case, with such a poor season, the chance to win a cup would be great for the new manager and owners.

Looks like Hanworth Villa have also pulled out.
