When Maxwell joined Braintree they had No points from 7 games played. He dragged them off the bottom and saved them from relegation . He then finished 14th the following season on a very small budget.Lord Elpus wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 10:25 amOut of interest HM, why Maxwell? I don't know much about him...HamptonMad wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 10:05 am Underwood and Baker were tipped to get The Bracknell Town managers job in November But got turned down. Both are former Bracknell players. Anyway they would not be my choice. Maxwell for me.
And Currie had a hand in Barnet's equaliser as well. Another of his long-range shots went sailing over the bar for what should have been a goal-kick except that the ref was the only person in the ground that saw a nick off Fiston Manuella and gave Barnet a corner which ended with a frantic scrum on the goal line, Barnet's equaliser and Talbot's red card for something that, again, only the ref saw.

Cowley brothers have been sacked at Portsmouth.
Worth having a look at what’s going on at Crawley Town to see how not to do new ownership. One CB offered bonuses relating to the number of headers! Dean Inman would be a multi- millionaire on this basis. Three managers this season and one sacked after three games.

Andy Hessenthaler gone at Dover...we need an announcement soon dont we? I'm actually a bit surprised the new owners don't seem to have someone lined up already.
OK, good point. We'll have Moyes then, but only if he brings the West Ham club car.
Yeah I’m surprised that a new manager hadn’t seemingly been lined up. Unless they have been sorting out the finer details since Monday and they are waiting to tell the players at training tonight before making an announcement.Lord Elpus wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 11:37 am Andy Hessenthaler gone at Dover...we need an announcement soon dont we? If we are looking at managers who have managed at the level above. Ben Strevens spent 3 and a bit years in charge at Eastleigh with a mixed bag of results. Having got the job in November 2018 and left in January 2022.
18/19 7th
19/20 16th
20/21 9th
21/22 left in January with them 14th. They then finished 19th.

I doubt we will have an announcement pre Hemel, as they said Steve Bates will be in charge, assume it will be announced some point over the weekend or early next weekLord Elpus wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 11:37 am Andy Hessenthaler gone at Dover...we need an announcement soon dont we?
