Our new owners have been supporting the club for some time, so have had the opportunity to form both their own plus that of us supporters as to the standard of football and recruitment. Due to the lack of matches and perhaps wanting to give Gary one last chance they held off till the last game which was not great to make the change.
As for candidates, they must have had a few in line but perhaps felt it necessary to assess them and take fresh soundings from others in football. Any incoming manager will want to know what his playing budget is, how much extra he will have to reshape the squad and what will be the future player investment.
Bearing this in mind as has already been suggested, I would expect interviews over the next few days and a successful candidate before the next home game.

Think it might depend on the applicant . Gary was part time whilst Dowse went full time. It might depend as to where the new owners see the club’s future.

We sacked Gary and now seem to be going round and round. Like used cars, there is not many good managers for sale.

It seems like you wanted Gary to stay, have nothing against him but something had to be done, he was taking us out of the league, sometimes need a fresh face and we must trust the new owners

Wonder if this might affect Steve King as manager at Gloucester?

Ref Steve King, I would be very wary of him given his record.

Depends on how much money we want to spend...

The thing with King is he’ll spend more money than however much you’ve got! It will be exciting whilst it lasts but it won’t last very long.
