Eldon Pruti has been sold to Brentford B. He looked very useful when we played them at the end of last season. He was left out of last Saturday’s team -by Slough.

Threw it away, conceded two set pieces against a small side. Slough created little apart from that. Wood, Miller Rodney and Gray best for us. Great goal by illic who other wise had a poor game. Julian missing again, need him back asap. God knows what Gary is thinking.

Very, very frustrating indeed. Bit of a dour first half for both sides but we were possibly shading the second when we scored. Although Ilic scored a decent goal he didn't contribute much else and we just don't know how to shut down a game, both the Slough goals looked very soft, and from set pieces too.
I just keep thinking we have some skilful players who aren't able to out muscle other sides and keep hold of the ball in midfield. Slough played exactly as they always do, tigerish in midfield and lots of predictable long ball...it's not pretty and I'm glad I don't have to see it often, but we should have had the guile to see this game out.
Don't really know where we go from here...

Don’t panic Mr Mainwaring, we just haven’t got going yet. Two home games in the next 10 days is a good chance to put that right.

And if we don't?

Shades of Cheshunt throwing away three points late on. We were poor for the first half hour and Slough not much better. New loanee Tommy Davis was solid and supplied the diagonal pass that Ilic latched onto for our goal. Wood nearly scored with a header but after that not much to get excited about. Ex Beaver George Wells headed home from a corner and then won the flick on that supplied the winner. We should have never conceded the throw that lead to the goal but Gray failed to clear when he had the chance. Apart from the goals Slough barely mustered a chance. Totally frustrating. Poor game management yet again.

Just listened to Gary’s comments, he seems very upset with the team. Have to comment that what he said is more or less what he has said after recent performances. The next two home games need results, two further defeats and the pressure might mount on a Gary and the team.
Think many of us can see flaws in the team, we have known the need to bring in more combative players in midfield, the defence needs strengthening, some signings have proved injury prone, Wood needs support up front. Ilic’s defensive shortcomings have been noted.

Just listened to Gary’s comments and he’s even more angry than the Oxford game. All I can say is that if the players can’t deliver what you are asking then get some players who can. Same silly mistakes being made every game.

Don’t forget these players were recruited by Gary, trained by Gary, tactical input by Gary.
