Re: Kingstonian Groundshare
On their forum there was talk of another groundshare with us because Tooting’s ground is not so easy to travel to. It was pointed out that we are in the Southern League catchment area and Ks would have to leave the Isthmian league which, with their long association, they might have found difficult . In addition, their long term aim is to have their own ground in Royal Borough of Kingston.
Supporters with long memories may wish to comment on the earlier groundshare with Ks.

Although I was not watching Hampton much in those days, the general view was that the earlier ground share with Kingstonian did not work that well and we were glad to see the back of it.

Like you I was not so involved at that time, but speaking to folk who were around they give a similar views.
Re: Kingstonian Groundshare
Did K's approach Hampton this time around?
Could have been a great source of income, and helping an old rival that really deserves better.
Still an absolute disgrace that AFC Surrey Franchise were allowed to sell to Chelsea despite promises made when they took on the ground.

Obviously no idea whether Ks did approach Hampton or not, but there's no way the pitch at the Bev could cope with two teams playing full home schedules on it.Jamie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 12:56 pm Did K's approach Hampton this time around?

Would agree, if we get an artificial pitch it might be a different matter. From comments from certain folk when they groundshared some years ago it was not always a happy relationship. Think they want to stay in Kingston area.
