Unable to get there today. Understand we lost 2-1 against a team that are many people’s tip to get promoted. Beaten by late goal and we missed s penalty. No Farrell today.

Awaiting better reports .

Very tough game, Wassmar and Inman were immense. We had our moments but H&W are a very strong side and shaded it.

Havant are indeed a very good side, and although we were a bit under the cosh at times we could still have won. Thought we really missed Farrell down the left and we still look slightly lightweight up front (yes I know we scored 5 last weekend but Havant are a different class to Eastbourne.)
Gondoh going off injured didn't help our cause and you just cannot afford to miss penalties against sides like that. Oh well, these things happen over a season. Havant must be favourites because they are very strong indeed, but it was still tough to see us concede at the end.

When you compare the two bench strengths yesterday, there is an indication of the difference in quality and budgets between the teams. I would be very surprised if Havant don’t go up as champions as they have quality replacements in every position and no doubt the spending power to recruit if hit by injuries.
We have picked up a few injuries and this could well have an impact over the next few weeks. One hopes that players get fit or we can recruit if the injuries increase. One thing is we don’t have to play Havant every week! Gary and a few correspondents felt we could have got a point or even three if we had been defending a lead in the last few minutes, it’s not all doom and gloom!
