Slough away on Saturday.

The final game of the season and it pits two friends against each other in the two managers. Slough like us have several players unavailable but have some promising young players who performed well in their win at Chesham. Looking at the squads our hosts have perhaps a better selection task than us with a quality defender in Pruti and a dangerous striker in Spasov.
Who we have available is difficult, think Taylor has completed his suspension , but no idea of who else will make up the starting eleven, hopefully Atkinson and Merrick will be fit.

Thanks for this Shep...it's basically free to get in then. I didn't even have to pay for one.

Free admission. Free ride in the Club Car to Slough leaves Broad Lane 12 noon. Free soup and roll. Free lift home to Hampton. Plenty of free scoreing . Well we have not gone down, and the Brothers have gone. Not a bad season.

This might be of interest. From my earlier post there appears to be free entrance tickets which looks to have replaced what looks to be standard information for visiting supporters.

Free tickets for the last home game is a good plan by the hosts. Especially if they couple it with a season ticket offer for the Rebels fans next year.

If you look on their website their communication is better than ours. There are managers interviews and match highlights. It is also updated, on ours the last match report was Welling. Ok I accept that a lot has happened recently and there are lots of personal changes, so let’s hope the new regime not only get the playing side sorted but off field communication as well. Fortunately we now have the close season to put things in place. A call to volunteer help and good will on everyone ‘s part and much can be achieved.

So much for our "professionalisation." In so many ways a year wasted as the ownership impasse slowly strangled the club on and off the field. It's much the same across non league, but wouldn't it be nice if we could have five years of stability where we could plan sensibly and not lurch from boom to bust, attract long term partners and maybe grow the club steadily into something that might be able to be promoted without creating a financial crisis? You may say I'm a dreamer.....

Wouldn't that be fantastic? There needs to be a nice, reasonable and simple "fit and proper persons" test for potential owners and investors at our level...anyone mentioning the Premiership or Champions League in 5/10/15/whatever years should be automatically barred and paraded through the local streets so that rotten fruit can be thrown at them.
Thank goodness we (seem to) have got the club back. Hopefully the club have learned a lot from this sorry chapter.

Just seen the team! Merrick back in goal. Taylor also. No Atkinson or Vilhete. Jeffcott is captain. Not sure how we will line up, could be an interesting afternoon! Plenty of goals?

Good job it was free at Slough. It's been more like a summer beach kick about so far.
