Really hoping we put on an improved display in this game but I strongly suspect it'll be another struggle and we will assist Maidstone in their quest for the playoffs.
Any thoughts?

Given our current form, any point would be welcome. Interesting to see what team we field. Several question marks on the the availability of some players . Unless something dramatic happens we should just about secure our place for next season. The major topic is what sort of team will we field in 25/26? Any indications would be very helpful!

On recent performances we are due a proper hiding. This might be it. Without Merrick and against a strong side this might be it. I do question the spirit and resolve of this group.

Its going to be very hard to get anything out of this game. The only good thing it should be a big crowd. But remember the M25 is closed. The good thing is the Soup will be Beef with a bread roll.

People may remember we beat Maidstone 5-2 in November 2023 but lost to them 5-1 in April last year. But this time ….??

Pick up a programme in the shop today for £3. Slightly larger print run due to anticipated Non-League Day crowd, it would really help if you purchase one. Features include:
- Groundhopping: Stuart Moore visits Clevedon
- Glenn Foulkes reviews St Albans away
- Colin Palmer on Flemish football, pt 2
- Full historical record against Maidstone
- Jacques Le Bars updates from the boardroom

The latest chat from the ground is that Gianni Crichlow is back and training on the pitch.

Excellent soup. Beefy. Terrible first half. Two nil down and outplayed.

Why are we playing long high balls to somebody who’s 5 feet tall and is being marked by somebody 6 feet 5?
And why are we doing it again and again?

Men against boys, they bullied us and bullied the ref, were loud and aggressive. Non of our players said a word. At the moment this side is nowhere near the level.

Not good. We look like a team of strangers and step 3 and 4 strangers at that.
Worthing are going to be on it next week after being done by Welling today.
And, where is James Roberts? He's not mentioned in any interviews or comms. Has he gone? Does he have a clause in his contract that means more money after the next game / goal? Is he part of a new Agathe Christie mystery?
