That's not good (for us at least). I suppose that's always the danger of a loan arrangement. Played very well for us.

What happened? We just announced his loan had been extended to the end of the season. I see that a number of Sutton loanees have recently been recalled so wonder if this may just lead to them being deployed out to other clubs. Jack has been a terrific player for us so just hope we can bring in someone of similar standard. In the meantime, the much under-utilised Wiltshire will need to step up.

Massive loss. Hopefully an adequate replacement is found, because he’s been our best defender this season.

I see Luis Fernandez is mostly just keeping the bench warm at Eastleigh...

This situation I feared previously, whilst the loan was extended the transfer window is open to clubs further up the pyramid.and Sutton saw it as their last chance to adjust their squad this season.
Agree not good news , we need a replacement asap. As had been mentioned already if he is sent out on loan to another club especially in our league then it will be a further blow. His performances with us have no doubt attracted attention and as usual you pay the price with relying on loan players.
We do need to secure our better players on contract, I appreciate the financial implications, but it is surely preferable to losing them to other clubs especially if they are in our league with no financial compensation. We have already been victim of this already.

This is when you need an experienced manager with good contacts in the game!

Tones - i dunno what your agenda is but everything is negative . Yes some things deserve criticism (saturday definitely) but on the whole Alan and the coaching staff are doing are great job.. think that's pretty obvious to everyone (except you)...

Jules quite literally has several contacts in the game. Since you’re pontificating so much and seem to be the only one who is Anti-Jules on here, who would be your pick for an “experienced manager with good contacts in the game?”

Fernandez played last Saturday for Eastleigh. Don’t forget we sold him to them back in the summer, it is very unlikely we would get him back or whether he would want to return.. Clubs will only lend players if they are deemed surplus to requirements or whose contract will expire in the summer and will not be renewed. It just allows the club to defray some costs in the final stages of the player’s contract.

Whilst I think a weakened team in the Trophy was a poor decision when Hampton won't go up, and won't get relegated.
I am really surprised at someone criticising Alan Julian.
He has brought in players from lower levels, working on a budget no doubt less than half of last season, and has the club safe in mid table.
He clearly has contacts, in pro clubs and non league.
It's worked out well as a managerial appointment, albeit due to so many targets turning down the club.
I can't see why he deserves any criticism other than the team selection for the Trophy game.
