When Maxwell joined Braintree they had No points from 7 games played. He dragged them off the bottom and saved them from relegation . He then finished 14th the following season on a very small budget.

And Currie had a hand in Barnet's equaliser as well. Hessenthaler is apparently going to Gillingham as head of recruitment.

Yeah I’m surprised that a new manager hadn’t seemingly been lined up. Unless they have been sorting out the finer details since Monday and they are waiting to tell the players at training tonight before making an announcement.

If we are looking at managers who have managed at the level above. Ben Strevens spent 3 and a bit years in charge at Eastleigh with a mixed bag of results. Having got the job in November 2018 and left in January 2022.

I doubt we will have an announcement pre Hemel, as they said Steve Bates will be in charge, assume it will be announced some point over the weekend or early next week
