Very positive on numerous fronts.
Depends, Hartlepool fans were celebrating in their masses when they announced Jason Monks was leaving.

Have to put it in to the context that, at the time, he was working for Hartlepool's version of the brothers. An owner who, seemingly, made it his mission to alienate every part of the fan base and run the club in to the ground.
Speaks volume about his character that he’s willing to work for such owners and ruin a club.

What about the character of those who were willing to work for our owner brothers who were seemingly on a similar path?

That’s a fair point, seems when you’re associated with bad owners you’ll always get a bad rep, regardless if you’re at fault or not. Will hopefully be a good appointment for us.

Do not worry, i hold the same views for them. I had family and friends refuse to work for the brothers!

I guess they were lucky they were in a position to make that choice. I suspect others here and at very many other clubs with similar owners were not in that position. You probably recall many stories of employees who carried on working at clubs despite regular late payment of wages and so on. What does this say about their character? Perhaps that they were prepared to put up with all these hardships in order to put food on the table for their families? Or because the wanted to try to keep the club going until the dreaded owners were replaced? Or maybe they simply didn't care about the way the owners behaved? You and I don't know. All I know is that things often aren't simply black and white.

I think being a bar staff or volunteer is different than someone like Louis Fell who worked for the brothers etc etc.

Do you hold the same outrage for the players who played for the brothers? And the manager who accepted the job working for them? And the many people who stayed involved on a voluntary basis to try and keep things running with a semblance of normality?

I also think that singling out Louis Fell, who was offered a chance to work in football, which has since propelled him to full time roles at Aldershot and Stevenage, I think it's bit odd to dig out a young guy who accepted a job that was offered to him.

A job's a job innit. Unfortunately we don't always get to pick the owner of our employment ball and chain. However, I would hope that someone like Louis, who was presumably full time, was completely open eyed to the fact that the brothers could have ended the job on a whim. It's great that it was good as a stepping stone for his career though.
Players on the other hand...I do think that's different. We all know that many players don't hang around at clubs long anyway these days and are usually more than happy to take the money wherever they can, moving on quickly elsewhere to a new alternative if the house of cards falls down. That explains why many flock to places like Billericay when they were owned by that shyster Tamplin. I can't understand it, but then I'm not a modern player.
