Their must now be a question mark about the manager regarding team selection and tactics. An important match like today surely needed a better team reaction.

We tossed that off. Can't play Page and Sorrondo together they both go siideways / backwards. Three much better midfielders on the bench. Very poor performance. Probably only Wall came out of that with any credit.

Worst performance of the season, didn't turn up or want it. Lineup very questionable

What a shame - this was a great opportunity to progress in the Trophy that we’ve missed.

I would have thought that today was our biggest game of the season, decent prize money and the chance to draw a big NL side in the next round. But the team selection and performance suggested we weren’t all that bothered and we limped out of the competition with a toothless effort. To round off a bad day Roberts got a late red card after a clash with a defender which rather summed up his afternoon. Our few efforts came from long range and for the most part Spennymoor’s defence were more than comfortable. The combination of Sorondo and Page in midfield looked a risk given that neither have appeared for more than a few minutes in the last couple of months, similarly Wiltshire and Masampu. We had little fluency going forward and mainly went sideways and backwards usually followed by speculative ball forward that went nowhere. Roberts and Vilhete couldn’t get on the ball and Williams was anonymous. We did bring on subs but too late to have an impact. Spennymoor’s second goal killed the game off as a competition. After a poor showing at Farnborough we seem to have gone off the boil rather.

Must be time to consider bringing in a more experienced manager.

A very frustrating afternoon indeed. Spennymoor were a useful side but with a full strength eleven firing on all cylinders we could have dealt with them fairly straightforwardly, as they didn't have that much to offer up front.
As others have said, a baffling team selection and tactics today...I get that players need game time but can't they go out on loan for that? I could understand chopping and changing the side for a cup game if we were deep in a relegation mire or challenging to go up but we seem firmly ensconced in mid table. Managers clearly just don't see cups as having any importance at all, and that is very frustrating.

Farnborough was actually worse in my opinion but today was all the more disappointing given the importance of the game and that we can be so much better. The crowd was flat having little to get enthused about. Will be interesting to see if Julian is asked about team selection in the post match comments.
Just posted and no, no question about selection.

Very poor performance, couple of tame efforts on target, that were easily saved, was about it, apart from the two late coming togethers, on either side of the pitch, which resulted in a red card for James Roberts.

Bit of a disappointing post-match summary from Jules too to cap off a bad day. Was expecting some comment on the team selection and whether he feels that was or was not significant - we didn't really need to be reminded that a day out at Wembley would have been great for the fans...
It feels like we currently need to be picking our strongest team to try to get that working again. I guess not being on the bench today, Jake Gray must be out injured. Also, hopefully there might be some sign of Crichlow returning soon.

I was actually down in Hampton today from Yorkshire on a visit to my sister. Was about to set off for Beveree when the team line-up came up on Twitter, realised they weren’t taking the match seriously and decided to stay in the warm. I think the team selection was disrespectful to the opposition and an insult to supporters. And I can’t understand why Atkinson, Revan and Hunt were not brought on at half-time.
