Just wonder if this decision might allow Jules to bring in a replacement?

I don’t think we were paying him so probably no budget implications.

You may well be right as his injury record was not good. Taylor’s loan expires at the end of the year if that is not renewed then we are left with Wiltshire and Revan which is too few for such a vital role.

Jaden Brissett, Ollie Davis and Bunmi Babajide all confirmed as departed in the latest chairman's update. Not clear where to though suggested Bunmi has a trial at a NL club.

Informative update from Ben as usual.

I guess it was increasingly looking like he had departed, but the loss of Bunmi is a real disappointment, especially as we had given him the chance at this level. I guess his absence has at least allowed Vilhete to show what he is capable of. Let's hope the Vilhete and Chrichlow version of the team can carry on with the form shown in the last two games.

Agree about Babajide we he was looking useful and was one I suggested should have put on contact within a few weeks of the season starting. Perhaps the club were less keen to make this financial commitments or he wanted to keep his options open, we probably will never know.
From Ben’s comments we don’t seem willing to stand in player’s way might turn out to encourage a revolving door with players and agents looking at possible moves.
We move on , hopefully we can get some forwards in as we are very thin in this area.

Shame to lose Bunmi so early on but that's football at this level with agents having an in-built incentive to move their players on if a bigger club comes calling. Will be interesting to see where he lands and if he can make it at the next level up. It's notable that so far the churn in players has been because they want to move on rather than us pushing them out the door. I have every sympathy for those who want game time but as Ben sugests sometimes you have to be patient to get your opportunity.

Bumni was interesting, he has some raw talent but in no way is he ready to step up a league. He is still unproven at NLS and has barely scored. To me he looked like a decent squad player with potential and that's where i expect him
to be. I watch a reasonable amount on National league fixtures in a season and i really can't see any side playing him on a regular basis.

Probably not but very likely to be full time football on a contract, which for a young aspiring pro footballer, is going to be attractive.

It would not surprise me if Babajide ends up in our league this season playing against us!

I believe he is on trial at Dagenham and Redbridge.

Good player but that is a big jump for him, like you say, will probably get picked up by someone in our league.

It's just mirroring what happens higher up the football ladder unfortunately. A player has a handful of half decent games and he (or more than likely his agent) thinks he is ready to move up a level or two. All too often the move results in failure and the player's career stalls or goes into decline. The agent of course makes his money anyway and moves on to the next poor sod he can exploit.
