We will be playing in our third kit for the upcoming season however National League letters and numbers are yet to arrive.

What do you mean? Do you mean for the upcoming friendlies or the upcoming start of the season proper in August? If the latter is the case we're going to look a bit foolish aren't we?

That is what the club tweeted. I think they mean today we will be in this season's 3rd kit but we won't have names or official squad numbers on the shirts yet. No hint from the club as to what colour that even is so not the most useful tweet. At least there is plenty of room for club's comms to improve this season...

No idea whatsoever but it's looking like a different side in the 2nd half.

I see from Ascot twitter that we won 1-0. Anyone at the game and have any more information? What was the new kit like?

We did indeed win 1-0, with the goal being slotted away (no idea who by, sorry) after a highly alert Harry Gardner took a quick free kick. Nicely done.
Other than that, I find these games so difficult to measure...Ascot looked very limited indeed but we've no idea what strength side they had out. Generally speaking I thought we looked a bit more purposeful in the second half but without numbers or a XIs being named it's almost impossible to be more precise. Of the players I did know, Massey (assuming it was him) looks very similar to Inman, so therefore a decent acquisition, allowing that he might be beaten for pace occasionally. Gardner I thought worked very hard and put in an impressive shift, and Robinson (?) from Chertsey looks like the kind of player who works hard and will go into battle. Other than that I'm afraid I'm struggling because I just don't know who's who yet.

Not a lot to get excited about with two teams deployed in each half including some trialists and some Academy. I didn’t see Ince, Fasanmade or Rodari at all and others I am just guessing. Our goal was scored by guessing a trialist but very few efforts by either side. Hard to tell which was a step 2 and which was a step 4 side from the balance of play. These games are very hard to judge as you don’t know the opposition, players have only been back a week and most won’t know each other. My only comment is whether we’ll have enough of a physical presence from those players I saw today.
