Got to feel really sorry for their supporters. They are a shambles of a club now.

K's have been a shambles of a club for years. There aren't many clubs who can contrive to have got in the position they now find themselves in. They even had a ground built for them and they still managed to lose that. I will always feel some sympathy towards any supporters who are stuck with a club like that but in all honesty K's are probably doomed and a breakaway club might now be their best option.

Eastbourne have sacked Matt Gray.

Seems to be the trend across all leagues this season to give no time to managers to be “successful .” Eastbourne have a big budget and simply can’t afford to be languishing where they are but who wants to take the job now knowing you’ll get 10 games to prove yourself. All the more remarkable what Alan Julian and his team have done to create two teams from scratch with limited funding.

Whatever ownership regime we've had at the top we've never really been a "sacking" club have we? Apart from when the Brothers got rid of of McCann, (as they were always going to) even at our most dire and without hope, we've given managers much longer than 10 games to turn it around. The Paul Reynolds and Ian McDonald seasons spring to mind.

Thanks Les, so Reynolds got 23 games, just over double what Gray was allowed at Eastbourne and McDonald got 20, exactly double. 20 or 23 games (and even Botley's 26) would seem a much fairer crack of the whip. It has to be remembered we were dreadful in all of those spells and the board showed considerable patience.
