Ahh yes - nice - attendances up!
I may be wrong, but was it not a "record attendance" on that first Titanic voyage...?

Maybe Jacques could give an update as chairman?
The Trust have to issue something surely? Were they consulted on the Alan appointment?

I agree the Trust should at least say something about the current situation even if they can't say much. The club could and should be bringing them on side if the position is not as bad as many fear ( or even if it is, the Trust may be able to help in some way). What limited fan engagement we have had so far seems a bit detached from reality and isn't giving much reassurance. Obviously some things need to remain confidential.
They would not normally be consulted on the appointment of a manager unless it was part of their role as major shareholder and board director (which is no longer the case).

It is beginning to look there is no official comment until the dust settles. Apart from Fernandez departure nothing about other players has not been officially mentioned.
The silence of the brothers is not unexpected as they are trying to get new backers which one expects is getting increasingly difficult, or conversely trying to placate irate current investors. Don’t think they “do bad news!” They might have told Will to say as little as possible.
Alan might have some news as to backroom staff, hopefully not just internal appointments. Player news might be later,?

I thought the Trust would have issued a statement congratulating Alan on his appointment & perhaps thanking the players / coaching staff who are leaving.

The trust did tweet a congratulatory message regarding Alan’s appointment.

Looks like Hampton and Kingstonian may be passing one another in their league positions in a few years time. Glad I waited before getting a season ticket for next season. With the chaos round the club at the moment other local non-league teams might be picking up a few new supporters for next year. Only joking of course just like the powers-that-be are doing with the club at the moment.

The news of our current position is filtering out and other club forums are starting to debate which of our players they would like!
I suppose we would do the same if the boot was on the other foot!

I feel sorry for Alan he has been given an almost impossible task to put out a competitive team.
He must have known the situation otherwise he wouldn't have taken on the role.

re: budgets
there are various posts claiming that the budget has been or will be cut. But did it jump significantly last season when the investors came in?
Perhaps Alan is now dealing with the same budgets that Dows and Gary had? ie back to where we were and perhaps we are back in line with other clubs in the division?

If your assumption is correct then there might be a glimmer of hope for the coming season. Last season’s spending was on an unsustainable level that could only be sustained by larger crowds and, at the very least , playoffs success. Many of us wondered about the increase in overheads as well as squad. It might be that the fall off towards the end of last season was the realisation that the spending was not going to produce the desired result for investors and owners.
It might also explain why Alan took the job as he saw the budget back to a sustainable level. We have had to release or sell players whose contracts fell outside the revised parameters.
Who remains and who comes might well confirm or disprove this theory.
